Natural gas from algae (Germany)

Until now all attempts to directly store the energy from sunlight failed. A new biological process changes this the first time. The process is simple and has been copied from nature. The generation of energy is a dirty business so far. According to the German Federal Environmental Agency, Germany releases 800 million tons carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year. 42 percent come from the chimneys of the energy industry. The Federal Government therefore relies on renewable energies which do not emit additional greenhouse gases.
